Eyewitness Jerusalem: Fighting Home Evictions and Demolitions in the Courtroom

As Palestinians continue to face the threat of home demolition and eviction in East Jerusalem neighborhoods, The Palestine Center’s Yousef Munayyer sat down for an interview with Hatem Abo Ahmad, an attorney for several families in Jerusalem fighting eviction and demolition orders. Recently, in part one of Eyewitness Jerusalem, we conducted an interview with two of Mr. Abo Ahmad’s clients, Sharihan al-Hanoun and Nasser al-Ghawi, who were evicted from their homes in the Shiekh Jarrah neighborhood on August 2^nd, 2009. In this second part, we explore the challenges of defending Palestinians in the Israeli legal system.
